6 Weeks
I had my 6 week postpartum doctor appointment today. All is well. (My fever from yesterday topped out at 103.5 for a couple of hours and then responded to the advil I was taking and by bedtime I felt back to normal.) I can now resume all normal activities with one caveat: the doctor asked that I wait another 2 weeks before doing any abdominal crunches. Considering the closest I’ve gotten to doing a crunch is sitting forward on the couch to grab my iced tea off the coffee table, I felt I could pretty safely agree to that limitation.
Tessa is also doing well. Last night, she went 8 hours between feedings. I’m sure it was a fluke but what a happy fluke!
Modeling her super comfy gift from Sabrina’s future mother in law:
And for my sister, the new red glasses. Ignore the red eyes. (They don’t look very red in the photo but the frames are dark red – tres trendy for this momma.)
I’ve learned something about myself this summer. I apparently can’t keep children and plants alive at the same time. My poor herbs struggle in this heat to begin with but add in my neglect and they were doomed from the start.
The rosemary and oregano are completely dead. The basil is trying to hang in there.
Tessa is beautiful….Seriously could she be any more perfect…
And you are ONE HOT momma too!!!!!
Love the new glasses!! Miss Tessa sure is cute.
I guess if you had to choose between plants and children you made the right choice. 😉 And I also love the glasses!
I guess keeping the kids alive ranked above the plants!!
Love the glasses. You look very chic!!
Glad all went well and the check up and you are feeling better. I am still holding off on crunches after 6 years…….making sure I am good and healed!!
Cool glasses and cute cute cute pictures of Tessa!
Great new specs! They are super cute!
And good choice on the plants vs. children. Kids are way cuter and provide endless hours of entertainment!
love the frames~
you look hiphiphip mama.
Six weeks post …you should be excited..Now you can have Sex!!! hehe.
Wow 6 weeks already??? Congrats on the 8 hours in a row!!! I hope it continues!
Ugh, sorry you’ve been sick!
I couldn’t keep herbs alive before I had a kid, so I don’t even attempt it any more. Haven’t done any yardwork in the 2 years Miss G’s been home. Thank goodness hubby at least pulls the weeds.
You look great in the glasses!
I killed all my herbs this summer and my veggie garden is full of weeds. Sigh. Babies are hard work.
I just got new red glasses too! Well, a couple months ago… or was it more like six months ago? Who knows. Anyway, you look great.
Tessa is growing! Good – I’m glad it’s not the herbs that are flourishing and Tessa looking all withered up. You’re doing it right.
Tessa is so beautiful…and I like the glasses too.
You know I live in the south too, but grew up in the midwest. I find that herbs do best in the ground down here. Pots dry out too quick in the heat and kill the roots. I had a Rosemary I neglected for years that grew bigger than a small bush. I thought about decorating it for Christmas one year!
Giant grin. Make sure you let me know how all this works…I’m unfamiliar with the ins and outs of arranged marriages. Or maybe we just introduce them later and pretend we didn’t have a hand in it? That sounds better.
Glasses look great and sorry about the plants. I kill all plants regardless of the presence of a child in the house.
I Love that outfit – looks SOOOO comfy.
