Yet another doctor’s appointment today. She surprised me. She didn’t even bring up the cerclage or putting me back on bed rest and seemed to be in a good mood. She was actually pretty pleasant. Maybe she got laid for V-day, I don’t know. Anyway, everything still looks fine with the baby. They took some blood for some kind of chromosomal blood work today. According to dates, I am 15w5d today. The baby was measuring 15w6d and his/her head was measuring 16w6d (anyone who knows my big headed hubby would know that alone proves paternity – I say that with love but seriously they had to special order his helmet when he played football in high school).

Sounds like they are running the Quad Screen on you. Here’s some info on that: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Triple_test

Glad to hear that your updates are unexciting, because isn’t that we all want?

I love that first picture of Sabrina! That smile is just gorgeous.

I’m glad your doctor was in a better mood at your visit. (Maybe she knew she had annoyed the internets? LOL)

Sabrina is a little cheese monkey isn’t she? I’ve got to wear a clown costume and tap a dance to get mine to grin like that.

I’m glad everything is going well with the baby. Take it easy. What am I saying how is that possible with a toddler. Well try anyway.

Oh My, I love that first picture! Such a ham! 🙂
I’m glad she’s not being all crazy on you this week hopefully she keeps getting laid regularly throughout your pregnancy.

  9. On February 15th, 2008 at 7:38 pm Mandy Says:

So I don’t recall you ever stated what your due date is? Do you want to find out the sex?

OOH, cute Sabrina pics AND a good doctor’s visit. What great news going into the weekend! Hope it’s a great one!

  11. On February 15th, 2008 at 8:50 pm Amy Says:

How cute is that child!!!!! I could put her in my pocket and take her home – I won’t of course. Kudos on the doc visit.

PS – I am going to let the whining about the “snow” that you got slide because you are a big ole ball of raging hormones but next time, prego or not, you’re going down sister.
The ‘rents live in Knoxville and they get the same thing when they start with “Oh it is going to be in the 40s this week”. They however, are moving back to Ohio next year so the burden will soon belong to them again.

    That’s a girl who’s loving life!!!

I’m sitting here with a glass of wine reading blogs on a Friday night(gee, the life of a mommy) and almost spit it out when I read that getting laid comment!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Seriously though – glad she’s letting you have a rest from the lectures and overly cautious stuff for a bit. Do you still have to keep going in so often or did you not want to push your luck?

  13. On February 15th, 2008 at 10:52 pm Sarah Says:

Sophie loves those toaster waffles too… but surely has not given that big of a smile when she eats them! Too cute! Congratulations on your big headed little peanut! Makes me cringe though when I think of how all those brains are going to feel being birthed!!! LOL!

You always make me laugh with your posts!! Tell it like it is, sistah! Glad your appt went so well!

glad to hear the Doctor is behaving herself (for now!)

And damn those pictures are cute – makes me want to go get myself a toaster waffle!! (um, what is a toaster waffle, or is that just a waffle that you make in the toaster?) In any event, Sabrina is delicious.

I doublefist the toaster waffles, too!

    Sabrina is precious!

Just a note so you wont freak out if something comes back funny… the test you had done test YOUR blood and YOUR ability to have a child with X. It does not test the baby… I cannot tell you how many people I know had it test positive for different things and everything turned out allright. Just take it with caution… for example it is very common for anyone over 30 to test high “incidence” of Down’s Syndrome…

Love Sabrina’s hair… it is getting so full!

  17. On February 16th, 2008 at 3:18 pm Bobbi Says:

If nothing else, I can count on you to lift my spirits. After a truly crappy day, I sit down to see some cuteness in blog world (thanks Sabrina–you are a doll). Suddenly I am just chuckling away about your Dr. Maybe she should try it more often!!!

    Thanks for the laugh.

  18. On February 16th, 2008 at 4:24 pm Soltana Says:

    SOOO funny!!
    I’m glad everything is ok:)

Hope you have a great weekend:)

  19. On February 16th, 2008 at 10:25 pm Lou Says:

Sabrina is a doll clutching those waffles…. Haven’t thought about giving those to AP, but I will be adding those to our breakfast rotation!!! I’m glad to hear that your baby visits are getting boring….. and NORMAL. Hopefully your little peanut’s body will catch up with his head….. For the record, AP has got the BIGGEST baby head ever. You wouldn’t believe it if you saw her head when her hair is wet. All that poofy hair covers it up! Thank goodness her birthmommy had a c-section!

  20. On February 16th, 2008 at 11:51 pm Tera Says:

Sabrina is SO CUTE! She really has a lot of teeth, doesn’t she? And, it looks like she’s taking bites like a big girl too! Way to go, Sabrina!

Michelle, so glad that everything is going so well with your pregnancy! What an exciting time! (So glad that your doc was cool this visit…)

    My brother has a huge melon and he’s a technology lover too…hmmmm…wonder if there’s a correlation… : P

Take care and enjoy your weekend! God bless.
