Teaching my children to question authority, except mine.

Wednesday

February6

Sadly, I started to name this post Tuesday and then realized it wasn’t.  I really hope to get a portion of my brain back when my uterus is vacated by this baby.

Onward.

Sabrina takes time out of her busy day to kick back and read a book.

The dog is her patient, long-suffering lounge chair.

Her favorite activity is opening and closing doors all over the house.  We have this weird little wet bar in our living room (hello, 1972 called and Mr. Ferley will be over to fix the sink later) with a double door.  She spends a large portion of her day opening and closing these doors.  Mommy doesn’t mind that so much but yesterday was a lovely day so I left the front door open and must have had to re-open it 37 times.  I think she feel powerful being able to move something so much bigger than herself.

On a completely unrelated note, why did no one tell me to quit being stubborn and to give in to the joy of elastic?  I’ve been wearing my regular jeans.  This is fine unless I need to bend over or eat – then they start to feel a bit snug.  I’ve refrained from unbuttoning them in public but just barely.  Yesterday, I finally tried on a pair of maternity capris I got on Ebay – nirvana.  I never thought I could love pants with an elastic waist band so much.

OH, that phase of pregnancy. Not really a baby belly, but yet not a non-baby belly either!! Glad you found a new friend.

Best of luck with the mush brain. With each child you need a bit more of your brain cells. With three, I am starting to worry!!! The schools think I am a space case!!

haha I see that you are not yet to the point where your pants are always falling off. Then you will hate materinty pants again so enjoy them now. LOL And someday you might even succumb to the full panel because they actually don’t fall off your a$$ every 5 seconds.

    hahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!!
never knew you could get so excited about something like that did you?

So glad you are OK and things are good –
I hope I get to meet the new little person this fall at Guatoberfest:)

I look at the God-Awful maternity clothes I actually put on my body back in the days –
    YYYYYUUUUUUCCCCCKKKKK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    digusting –

I do have to add that my current fashion is probably not much better – I would go everywhere in my pajamas if I could.
Some days – if I don’t have to go out – I just shower and put on clean pj’s –
why bother -I am coverd in baby food and snot by the end of the day anyway!
    🙂

I had my baby girl 9 weeks ago… I miss maternity pants. They were so comfy. I have a couple pairs of capri’s I might try to sneak by with long shirts, since I am not exactly going to be wearing belly shirts with those lovely stretch marks!

I hate to admit but i’ve never been pregnant but have bought a couple pairs of size 2 maternity pants. THEY ARE AWESOME. I have no idea why they are called maternity. All they have is a tiny spot on both sides with some elastic. I wear them to work and it’s so comfortable!!!

Sabrina is absolutely adorable and I love the picture of her with the dog.

Um, about the baby brain syndrome – that along with the rest of my body never quite fully recovered. It gets better, but sadly it will never be the same again.

Elastic is wonderful – but the full panel along with some gigantic maternity underwear – DIVINE!!

Lucy adored all things maternity from Target, and a store called Motherhood. I remember when my mom and i finally convinced her to cave in and go with a maternity/nursing bra. it was so much more comfy i believe she cried a little!

M does the same thing with doors, cabinet doors, and baby gates. it cracks me up b/c she will leave her toys a disaster all over the family room, but she always makes sure the cabinet doors are closed on her play kitchen!
